Service phases :
The family book is issued immediately if the marriage has been contracted to the local council. Or within a week in other cases.
Services :
- The Officer of civil status of the place of marriage for those who were married after 01/08/1957.
- The Officer of vital birthplace of the spouse for those who contracted marriage before the publication of Code of Civil Status.
Rate (d) :
- 10.000 dt
To whom deliver it?

To the family's head.

To the divorced if she has not remarried.

To the widow who must keep it except an opposed decision.
Notes :
It is not allowed for any person other than the register office's officer duly authorized to take an observation or any mention on the family book. It is issued only in Tunisia.
