Legalization of signature is effected after the presentation of one piece of official identification that is valid :

The national identity card.

The Identity card for foreigners and issued by the Directorate of National Security.

The Passport

N.B :

Legalization of signature is prohibited in respect of documents contrary to morality or detrimental to public order.

The paperwork submitted by the departments of state, local and public administrative nature are exempted from payment of fees.

For illiterate persons unable to sign, a reading of the document presented for legalization of their signature will be made in the presence of two credible witnesses along with their identity card.
